As someone who worked in food service, nowhere.
Seriously, a 30 person group sucks in a most extreme way. Most "brunch" locations don't even seat that many total.

You need a catering company or to pay and reserve an entire location for your event.

I really really hope OP was not talking about rolling up to a restaurant today with 30 people and expecting to get seated. I'd want a month notice or more for that

Absolutely, 30 people is not a last minute plan. That needs extra staff and extra charge.

Of course not. It’s not last minute. The planned event is in May and I am inquiring as of late March, 2023. It just seems like most restaurants in the Pittsburgh area cannot handle a group this size, which is fairly common in most metropolitan areas like Boston or NYC.

In all honesty, it’s often times not worth accepting a group of 30. Let’s say you take up 6 tables, and are there for four hours. I could turn those tables 3/4 times in that time period. You’re not ordering food the whole time, so unless I can hustle some drinks, it’s a waste of tables.

Throw in some kids, and it’s even worse.

Would you be interested in maybe doing it in a nice hotel? Perhaps at your place and having it catered? It may be easier honestly.

Thanks Brad. Those suggestions are very helpful. What hotel do you recommend?

I would check out The Oaklander in Oakland and the Industrialist (downtown).

You could also make an inquiry to Threadbare Cider House, and ask about a room. They have good food.

Try Cafe Raymond, they have a second floor. Rolland’s too.

Are you set on a full brunch?

Urban Tap and Square Cafe in East Liberty have private rooms and are good with brunch food.

I would definitely give Francis Restaurant a call. The upstairs bar (Franks) is the same business and shared kitchen and might be great for that size group.

Maybe Bravo? They do group dining. They actually had a decent brunch last time I was there, it's better than dinner.
