absolutely not lolol. that’s part of why i’m so struck that i got it at all. i did see that there was an citywide advisory in 2017 about giardia contamination cause of low chloride levels so it seemed like a possibility

the local health commissions have been on my ass about figuring out exactly where i could’ve contracted it so i’m really not trying to like, blame pittsburgh or something, more just trying to think of reasonable possibilities given that my mouth has been nowhere near backwater or poop

I am unaware of any parasite issues with the water. Usually its lead people are worried about.

Have you been around any cats or dogs this year?

it rarely transmits human to animal or vise versa, it’s mainly from contaminated drinking water and in 2017 pittsburgh had extreme *contamination risk because of low chlorine levels

Where do you see "huge outbreak" in that article? It sounds like it was a brief risk but doesn't report anyone getting sick

Definitely don’t remember anything about water issues but it can also spread through food, so maybe unwashed produce or something?
