Don't tell comedy comes around a fair amount. Always good shows. You just gotta get on their email list to know when/where they are

Hide Speakeasy at The George restaurant on Washington Street has comedy every Friday night. Check out Glue Factory Comedy on Eventrbrite. It sells out a lot.

Comedy Connection is the only right answer here.

You get a ton of great degenerate comics from NY that don’t feel like hauling up to Boston and want to spend their take at Foxwoods while they’re up here.

I moved up to Boston some time ago and the only good shows I can find are either at the Wilbur or heading back down to Prov.

It isn't exclusively a comedy venue, they also have music and films, but I've seen Maria Bamford and Nick Kroll at the Columbus Theatre. Mike Birbiglia is also coming there soon, though I believe it is sold out.
