My gf of 4 months has an unusually close relationship with her parents, like a girl half her age. They casually walk in on her when she's using the bathroom, or taking a shower, or changing clothes, things that I find weird. Anyway, the thing is a couple of days ago I saw my gf and her mom kiss on the lips as they were saying goodbye. I later found out that this happens with her dad as well. I've been in a crappy mood since. I thought that these kind of kisses were something special between me and her, and it was nice knowing that I'm the only one she does this with (at the present). I am upset and bothered by this quite a lot. I told her how I feel, and she said that she won't risk upsetting her parents for the sake of a 4 month relationship. I get that, I have no right to tell her how to behave around her parents. But I wish she tried to find a compromise instead of shutting me off right away. I fear I may be the toxic one here, but I don't think I will ever be ok with this thing.

Then it's time to move on.

I really can't tell if this is a troll or not.

A polite kiss goodbye on the lips to a family member is very normal in some families / cultures. There's no romantic intent in them at all and they are nothing like a kiss you'd give to a romantic partner.

If you're getting jealous about her kissing her own mother and father goodbye, you are the toxic one.

What an ass you are! If you can't handle loving parents having a great relationship with their kid then please exit and let her find a decent person to date

hahah...

Do you actually think they way you kiss her is the same as the way she kisses her dad?

I'd say probably break up and do some maturing before getting into an adult relationship again.

I had a guy say the same, but that it was weird that my dad still calls me “princess” and kisses me on the forehead/cheek every time we see each other. I blocked him and never spoke to him again.

Just let her know.

That's right, you're the only one with the problem. So if you can't get over it, move on.
