I live in the area and have most of my life. I am looking for employment, but sadly I have a felony conviction. Does anyone have any information on folks who hire felons? Thanks!

Does the Tommy's carwash guy hire felons? He's on here a bunch, seems like a real good dude. I think a decent percentage of his staff are from Reddit

Lots of factories/industrial stuff on the east side near the airport. I would call every one and see if they would consider you.

Came here to say this! Factories/ Production typically will hire felons. Hard work, great money, just come to work on time.

Don't know about felonies, and I am not even sure if it still exists, but Campaign Virginia (an environmental lobby group) used to hire formally incarcerated people. So possibly, look into grassroots groups that campaign for donations.

Equus Workforce Solutions should still have the federal contract. You might qualify for a job caseworker. If not, they have job networking events. They work with a lot of felons. I can’t find the actual office location in Richmond—used to be one on Cary and Cedar Fork Road-maybe they are still there. But try to google the main number to locate.
Also, is OAR still around?

Hell son good money in construction and I’ve worked with plenty of felons. Sure there will be places you can’t go to work because of background checks. Search for civil contractors around Richmond. They pay ya to learn
