Probably hoping they can out spend and win that way. Winning would strengthen their trademark and make it easier to go after others.

The C he uses is the same as the old block C Cleveland used before the name change. It’s still the same ownership of the team I would assume they’ve got that copyrighted pretty strongly and that’s what the suit is over, not the current logo. If that’s not the case Clemson and any other team with a C logo should go class action on the guy because the current logo is completely different

People named Bill need to file a class action against the Buffalo Bills.

Not being a baseball fan, I was legit confused why people were wearing Walgreens ball caps as if they were their favorite team (and equally confused about why Walgreens had a team).

My middle school in hanover had the same logo as well.

Chickahominy has a better case against Charged Up than the Guardians, in my opinion.

Ridiculous with a capital R. Cleveland Baseball Team, maybe do your due diligence before you adopt a new logo that is vaguely similar (an arguable point) to that of a small regional business that's been in business for decades.

Unless there's some other element to the story not in this article, I don't see how the Guardians have a case. The Cs are different, one has a lightning bolt, one has a text banner beneath it ... one side's a baseball team in Ohio and the other is a record label/clothing store in Virginia. Not much chance for confusion.
