I’m having a friend come visit this weekend. Where could they park their car for the entire weekend and not worry about towing? I’m willing to pay for a garage but not a meter that we have to keep checking. TIA :)

What area? Generally anywhere that: doesn't have a sign saying no parking (like an alley or driveway, which actually don't need a sign for that to be true), isn't in front of a hydrant, doesn't have time restrictions because of a permit situation like some neighborhoods, isn't metered like you said, isn't handicapped assigned, and doesn't have city posted signs about towing like for upcoming road repairs, then you're good. That's not an exhaustive list but by and large there aren't really any "gotchas" in terms of parking.....the surrounding signs, and stuff like hydrants and driveways, will basically tell you everything you need to know

Anywhere in the Fan west of Meadow, anywhere in Church Hill. Lots of unregulated street parking available

The parking deck in Carytown on crenshaw is $1.35 for 12 hours and there’s an app you can use to renew it

There’s tons of choices. Most parking is free and untimed on the weekend.
