Major entertainment companies are going to be the ones who are investing the most resources into using this technology.
Special effects have become incredibly accessible to the average person over the last 15 years, yet entertainment companies are the ones doing it the best, because they have more resources.

And with more quality, with less budget... we can have not only movies but series with vfx better than the movies of today...
So they can focus on creativity not on time and budget

My thought process is that AI makes decentralization more and more possible. If we can get to the point where people can ask AI to create a movie or show or book exactly to their liking, why would people pay entertainment behemoths for anything? I could see entertainment companies pivoting to leasing rights to their owned universes (like Star Wars, Marvel, etc) but I really believe AI will decimate their revenue sources.

If we are at that point with media creation, entertainment behemoths (if left unchecked) are going to be the ones doing that for you.

Why would major entertainment companies sweat? They are the ones benefiting from this

You only see the visible side of the Iceberg, a lot of work is hidden, you can see all Instagram filters who also use AI but the code is not public.

We're getting to these crazy fast speeds on modern hardware with some extreme optimization over just a few months. Can you imagine what the state of the industry will be like with another five years of optimization and hardware/node improvements?
Major entertainment companies have to be sweating right now. Buckle up, we're seeing exponential progress in front of our very eyes.
