Why not? In the article I read : "Many other fields of science and technology – from genetics, to nanotechnology, robotics, and quantum computing – underwent the same exponential growth, providing new ways for humanity to tackle global problems."

Futuretimeline.net is quite an old website. Some of those predictions have been there for a while.

The site is in drastic need of revamping. The admin no longer believes any of the stuff you just cited - the majority of the website was written in the 2007-2009 area, where things were admittedly dramatically more primitive and so the future seemed further away.
