Given the avg person's knowledge of the issue and all the wild news echoed from the far right, what do u really expect? I get your point but Let's be real here.

We ARE spending the money on climate change……...increasing the atmospheric emissions, and blowing larger holes in whatever ozones are left, with every blast into space………just not in a direction of recovery. /s

Future methane fueled rockets will be far less pollutant and even so it is a drop in the bucket of climate offenders. On top of that there being no alternative to spacs travel. Launches in particular. We're stuck with chemical rocket engines for the foreseeable future.

Once climate change really kicks it up a notch, I'm guessing we'll all be considered to be in the dumb ass people category by the folks having to deal with it.

We're all in this together!

No one has suggested a single thing that works that would help. Nuclear power would be helpful if you believe we can’t as a society adjust for a 1.5C temp rise. Wind and solar will not do it. Also you should work on China and India. That’s where a difference can be made. We who are about to fry salute you!

I'm with you!!! China isn't defunding military or space programs for climate change that's why I feel strongly about it. Would be sad and scary to fall behind

I think at this point it's more about mitigating the consequences and/or making civilization more resilient in general. Another thing to try would be to at least limit as much as possible further emissions or perhaps at the very least "new" emissions that are "nice to haves" but not absolutely necessary to the functioning of society.

Remember when it was called global warming but it was deemed too 'scary' so they renamed it to climate change lol

Yeah and now the reality of it is so incredibly bleak and seemingly hopeless that we can't really talk about just how bad the implications are because that sort of discussion might cause people to not do anything.

Humans!
