Ideally for a paper you would read peer reviewed research on this. Searches should be done through your institution's library search and scholar.google.com

If you want to be really lazy, read the citations on the wikipedia article (DO NOT CITE THE WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE ITSELF.)

Be sure to check recent work! Last year a report on stomach contents of animals killed by the initial event and blast wave revealed what season of the year it happened in.

65 million years ago, a rock fell out of the sky

And turned dinosaurs into birds & mice into men

I’d recommend using JSTOR, every accredited institution has an agreement which will allow you to read articles for free. Just use your student login, and get instant access to all worthwhile journals.
