According to one listing, it was the 49th video broadcast on MTV, on its’ first broadcast day. It was also a fairly new song, being originally released as a single in early 1981. Some of the videos broadcast on the first day were several years old by the time of the broadcast.

TIL Blondie's music video for the 1981 song Rapture featured Jean-Michel Basquiat as Grandmaster Flash did not show up for the video shoot and Basquiat was hired instead.
