Stick season?

Yes….
“ Stick season: the period between fall & winter when the leaves have left the trees but the snow has yet to come. Traditionally, each year from November 1 to December 15.“
I would say stick season is from November 1st until the first day of Winter, December 21st. YMMV.

Wow, I’ve lived in Vermont my entire life and I’ve never heard the term. Maybe because I live in area where you can expect snow for at least half of that time frame?

Same, before Noah Kahan’s song I had never heard the phrase, and I grew up in VT.

I heard it long before Noah's song... Maybe he should write the follow up song 'Mud Season'
hahaha
