>There are a lot of different apps out there that you can use to trade, but my personal favorite is Robinhood. It's free to use and it's really user-friendly, so I think it would be a great option for you. As far as cheap stocks go, one company that comes to mind is Ford Motor Company. Their stock isn't too expensive right now and they're doing pretty well overall, so I think they could be a good choice for you.

I’d steer clear of apps like Robinhood. Look for a more trustworthy investment firm that has 24 hour customer service. I use Charles Schwab. But I will admit Robinhood’s app is easier to use and more cool looking. I just like to be able to get help if I need it.

Based on the question you asked about cheap stocks, it sounds more like you’re actually trying to invest rather than day trade. If that indeed is the case, I commend you.

I have money saved up, I’m just using a portion of it

Then you are not broke, right?

That's good, so the next obvious step is to learn, and as you are in college, learning is not new to you.
