We're debating about getting a fake or real tree and would like to know a rough estimate of how much tress cost in the district.

Don’t pay more than $12-13/foot for below 9 foot tree or you’re getting ripped off.
Don’t forget to include the cost of a decent stand and a tree skirt (tree sap ain’t good for hardwood or carpet)
I sold them for years in high school, ama.

6’ is like average right? Mines that big. It’s definitely average. My wife’s boyfriend told me the big trees hurt the inside of the house and that’s why she prefers the small ones. I mean average ones…

Check out Amazon Warehouse...it's "open box" or returned items. I got a nice fake tree for like 75 bucks a few years ago...the box had a tear in it but otherwise good as new.
