This got asked a year ago with no satisfactory answer. At least once a week, all of Deanwood is full of the smell of fresh donuts. They smell a lot like Krispy Kreme fresh glazed, but there's no Krispy Kreme in the area.

My ex used to say it was concessions at the rec. center, but I've never seen concessions over there, and tonight the smell was still around even though there was nothing happening at the field. Does anyone have any ideas?

Interesting. I lived in Deanwood for a little over 2 years and have never smelled anything other than weed.

The donut smell was definitely there near the metro when I got home around 8 tonight

I bet that is it. When I rode the metro I’d always catch a whiff as I walked south. I just looked up the bakery and it’s pretty close to where the smells were. A little wind and I can see how this could be the right answer.

Good question OP, always wondered that myself

We live in deanwood and we say it smells like funnel cakes. Where is that coming from? Maybe the school? The mystery!!
