Read the article. Don't see anything to support a claim of racism as it is now. It might be the motive, but we don't know that yet, so it's appropriate not to invoke racism at this point.

Most people in the earthquake region are Muslim. Theres been an uptick in religious hate; from Europe, to the Americas in the past 20 or so years--from all sides. I have very little faith it was because of a local dispute. My faith in humanity has been waning.
