Turkish army doesnt have chemical weapons in its inventory. The same sources that claimed turkey used chemical weapons were claiming turkey has used nukes just a month ago. In the supposed footage of chemical weapon use turkish soldiers are seen without necessary equipment, like without masks. Those claims have no credibility hence no investigation.

Why the arrests? Oh yeah, we are talking about an authoritarian government

Did i say her arrest is justified?
GrimmRadiance t1_iu0huwj wrote
That’s not a counter to their point. Their point was that there is no evidence for the claims, not that the arrest was justified.

Because making the claim in itself is an insult to authoritarian dictators.

To the Turks on Reddit, honest question, if Erdogan dies, who takes his place? Are the majority of leaders who could take his place similar to him in governance or more liberal?

The Opposition is united on bringing back the parliamentary system, despite having varying political goals/Ideologies/viewpoints. So in that sense, yes.
Don't listen the guy commenting under me, all he does it talk shit about Turks under every Reddit post where Turkey is even remotely mentioned lmfao.

Don't listen to the guys above. They are completely brainwashed to anything Turkey does. ( See how this is not an argument? )
( The more you ignore the wrongdoings of your country, the more your own population suffers. And you are the one causing it to yourselves. Case in point the eradication of freedom of speech with the thousands of arrests and the extremely high inflation)

All you do is cry about every decision Turkey makes, lmfao. It's clear that you yourself aren't even a Turkish citizen, so it's quite interesting how you focus on Turkey so much. We all know that you don't care about the interests of Turkey or Turkish citizens.
Maybe you haven't noticed, but no one in Turkey is mad about PKK sympathizers getting arrested. She already came to attention 2 years ago for her ties to PKK linked events and denied the involvement of FETÖ/Gülen Movement in the 2016 coup attempt.

Unfortunately, they are all pretty similar in some respects. Turkey had thousands of citizens arrested in the past years and freedom of speech and expression are severely curtailed.
Moreover, they follow an expansionist policy and try to distort history and treaties to suit their own needs as well as heading towards ultranationalism.
And let's not talk how they treat minorites and immigrants.
It's a shame since they do not see that the worse they let everything become, the more they themselves suffer.

Türkiya is locking up it’s medical association chief for suggesting that more information is needed before any conclusions can be drawn. I’m not sure how Türkiya thought this would play out, but it’s making them look like a banana republic.

Except that wasn't what she said. She literally said on live tv that "video shows the effects of chemical weapons use", when it certainly did not. Her speech was pretty indefensible tbh.

Turkey says they didnt use chemical weapons, refuse to allow investigation, and arrests anyone who says there should be.
Sounds like turkey is using chemical weapons, why do we tolerate this?
