Iran needs to experience a "fuck around and find out" moment. Larger than the other night. Their assistance to Russia is utterly unacceptable, among their other numerous provocations. Leaving their internal slaughter of innocents to the side for the moment.

Who exactly is going to hit Iran? The West isn't right about to start a war with Iran. And as an ally of Russia it makes sense that they are aiding them in this war. Ukraine doesn't have the resources to really pick a fight with Iran right now much like Russia can't pick a fight directly with the countries aiding Ukraine.

> Russian forces say they have made slight territorial gains in intense fighting in Ukraine's east amid reports Moscow has moved additional forces to the Kursk region on the border with Ukraine to protect the frontier and ensure security.

> Ukraine has been calling on its Western allies to speed up deliveries of heavy weaponry promised in recent weeks as it tries to hold on to territory in the east amid Russia's overpowering advantage.

> Zelenskiy on January 30 joined Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on a visit to southern Ukraine.

People don't realise that is war starts between Israel and Iran then Ukraine is fucked. Because Israel is more important than to the west than Ukraine.

Exactly. Israel already has stealth F-35s and a competent air force that already successfully destroyed nuclear reactors before. Why aren't they dealing with Iran decisively considering they are an inch away from a nuclear bomb?

The US can fight two wars at once. This has been our doctrine since Roosevelt. We can certainly supply Israel and Ukraine. If it breaks out Iran's weapons won't be hurting Ukraine any longer, and Iran's nuclear facilities can finally be reduced to rubble.

And...the people of Iran can throw out the mullahs.

Win win win

Yes, I get it.. I said so. But attacking another country because they're supplying arms is a bit too far. You're suggesting opening up a new front in this world war. Don't stop at iran... NK and China are also supplying arms and logistics. Are you suggesting that they "get some" also?

Most countries are involved in arms sales for profit. Iran is still a sovereign nation.

Accusing one country of international war crimes when you and your allies are doing the same thing is tired. Let's just hope Iran and Russia don't start any "shock and awe" offensives any time soon.

Ya, if Russia launched as many missiles at civilian targets (with help from Iran), as the US did at the start of the Gulf war II (operation shock and awe) the western media would call for intervention. Too bad Iraq didn't have western media on their side.

Israel would of course take help in the form of weapons like Ukraine is getting. I'm not entirely sure Iran wants this though, as it would be mean Hezb getting destroyed and them losing significant cold power. Although, I'm not a huge political buff but that's just what I see happening. Once Hezb does anything, it gives Israel the chance to remove the biggest threat. It also means that I'm in danger because I live near the border

Fundamentally, how is Iran selling Russia weapons any different than NATO arming Ukraine?

Not defending Russia/Iran, but if you want to escalate providing weapons to direct involvement the implications are clear what that means.

The USA has other allies that produce oil. It will be a domestic issue but they would not run out because of it. Plus the potential for explosive profits due to war time issues would mean a lot of non-opec nations would be happy to ship whatever oil they don't need for a quick buck.

Because the iranian nuclear program is light years ahead of the Iraqi one. Some of it is buried so deep, only the US's biggest of bombs, deliverable only by US strategic bombers stand a chance of destroying it. Israel can't execute this all alone, as they did in Iraq and Syria. So until American support and active engagement is guaranteed, nothing on such scale will happen.

This is essentially the core role for Patriot in this conflict, it's a pretty good anti-ballistic missile system. It is limited, though, by quite short range against ballistic missile threats because of their speed and trajectory. Just speculating, but this specific type of threat (and endogenous Russian ballistic missiles) is probably the intended target for Patriot.
