I don't know what to tell you, they literally gave me a list of every single permit street in my district 10 minutes after me asking.

Oh they definitely have it, they just don't have it in map form (which is insane to me). They told me last year they were working on developing one lol...

Apt complexes and big managed buildings will have pet policies written out specifically that they can't sway from. Individual landlords have more flexibility. I've had multiple dogs and never had an issue with renting - for private landlords, I usually negotiate a pet deposit, pet rent, or both.

It doesn't exist, unfortunately. But if you send a message to PPA asking for the streets in your zone, they will send you a list. They were very responsive to me via FB when I was looking for this same info last year.

You can also send a food delivery gift card. I sent a doordash gift card to my friend who was caring for her brother after he was hit by a car. I wasn't around to physically help but with the gc they could just order whatever they wanted for a few meals

I second this. I'm a big fan of Manayunk Pizza's curly fries, they hold up really well for delivery so I bet they'd be fine transiting to a party if you can get a tray

I was shocked too, I've eaten so many mussels in that place 😠Went there after the Iggles parade too, they cleared out all the tables and chairs to handle the mass of people walking over from the parade

I almost suggested Devils Den bc that's my favorite bar in that area but remembered they recently closed 😠Triangle is my second choice after the Den lol

I'm assuming you mean the Manayunk train station and not Ivy Ridge or Wiss? I used to live right behind the Manayunk station and tbh the station never bothered me, moreso being so close to Main St was more of a problem because you'd have lots of loud drunk people after the bars let out. It was never a big issue for me still, but expect lots of trash, beer bottles, red solo cups, etc.

Sidewalk parkers are a big issue in some Philly neighborhoods. Some people will install bollards or put a large concrete planter to prevent sidewalk parking, so this is def not out of the norm.

This is what I was going to say. If you get rid of it, you may then have issues of people parking there

> I could continue to telework and I'd only have to go to the office 2 days out of every 2 week pay period. I need to think on that.
This is how I knew you were a fed lol. If staying working for your agency's DC office, I would push back and ask for full remote. The 2 days per pay period is for locality only. Basically that means you have to go to the office 2 days per pay period in order to continue getting DC locality. If you're full remote, that means you give up DC locality and get Philly locality instead. I had this entire argument with my agency as well, ultimately I quit because of it (among other reasons).

Former fed here. I lived in Philly, moved to DC for my fed job, was there for almost 6 years, and ultimately moved back to Philly a year ago bc I wanted to buy a house and settle down, we were still full remote, and those options weren't available to me in DC. I'm no longer a fed, switched back to consulting a few months ago. Philly has everything DC has but on a smaller scale, way better food imo, and you don't get stuck in the politics suck. I enjoyed my time in DC but I'm a Philly gal at heart and could never shake that out of me. SEPTA doesn't hold a candle to Metro, I'll give DC that win. Other than that, really the only thing I miss in DC is boozy brunch (PA liquor laws are weird)

Not Philly specific but my last apt in DC had one and they'd use it maybe half the time. They would put packages on top of it, next to it, and behind it. So if delivery peeps use it, it's great. But don't hold your breath

I lived in Manayunk 2013-2016 (late 20s/early 30s) and just moved back last year (mid/late 30s) - I love it. It used to skew bro a lot more in previous years but it has grown up a lot because the residents that live here have grown up. Yes you still have the St. Joe's college students and they will be concentrated the closer you get to Main St. I lived right by the Manayunk train station before and got some of the riffraff but it never bothered me. Now I live on the west side of Manayunk and love this area SO much - it's close enough to walk down to Main St, but far enough to leave Main St at Main St. My immediate blocks are a mix of lifer old heads, post grads, singles, and some families. We have a group of girls late 20s-late 30s that formed a little group and we get together often. In terms of things to do, Manayunk has a great mix of neighborhood bars to a few upper scale restaurants, and everything in between. There's boutique shopping, the Manayunk Development Corp is EXTREMELY active and there are major events throughout the year, you've got the tow path, the bridge that connects you to the Cynwyd Trail, and you're close to the Wiss. Regional Rail is a super easy 20min ride to Center City and there are buses too. In terms of dance clubs, most of the old clubs have since closed down but there are places that have live music (Grape Room) and I think the Brewery still does dance nights sometimes.
Always happy to chat Manayunk, so let me know if you've got any other questions!
