That probably had more to do with congressional appropriations denying additional funding to replace the existing headsets. Military leaders requested funding for updated hardware that fixed some of the main issues (like nausea), but were denied. Instead being awarded a very small sum to use in an attempt to retrofit the existing headsets

In terms of offensive security capabilities, North Korea does very well for their size and lack of digital infrastructure
They certainly just used a credential stuffing attack in that case though. A good reminder never to reuse passwords, and not make them easily guessable

North Korean internet is incredibly closed off, making attacks over the internet nearly impossible. Access to news and media from outside North Korea is done using old school methods of getting physical media over the border

It sounds like you're shilling coins more than giving legitimate suggestion. I've spent a decent amount of time on darknet market places and never heard of decred or grin. Zcash I think I've seen like once, maybe?
The biggest oddity is that you didn't suggest Monero, which has been the #1 privacy coin for the entire history of privacy coins. It's also the only one you could regularly use to buy "sketchy shit"

As they should. Saves tons of money and requires far less training for the vast majority of soldiers. Custom hardware is extremely expensive (compare the $46,000 price tag per IVAS 1.0 headset to the ~$1000 per headset for consumer headsets)
