Correction: you’re adding nonsense to my comment. The Lady crossed what is basically a 4 lane highway and she got hit
she fucked around and found out. This section of Philly county is basically the burbs with sidewalks, bike paths and crosswalks at intersections with stop lights.

We should be honest in this situation, it’s a tragedy that people were traumatized for her moment of stupidity attempting to play frogger. But holy fuck, yes, let’s focus on infrastructure cause people already fucked the Washington Ave redesign royally! For the Dalessandro’s issue they just have to make Wendover St go one way towards Walnut Lane GC.

People are already crying about future improvements to SEPTA that would improve the timing and reliability of buses, so I don’t have hope in a democratic process that allows the dumbest and loudest to takeover the process.

“Investigators said the 61-year-old Bensalem, Pennsylvania, woman "was trying to cross the street at mid-block" when she was hit by a southbound Chevy Malibu on Henry Avenue.”

imagine driving from Bucks County to Philly to get a cheesesteak and you forget how to cross the road because you’re excited for your prize and then die for it
oh wait, and now you traumatized that poor person that hit you

Ahhh damn, we’re so close!

Voting in our current system has little positive impact for the greater good. We don’t have enough politicians fighting for more freedom, we have a political system that has been taken over by corporations, lobbyists, and nutjob religious fanatics
Freedom in America has been slowly dying since neoliberalism was kicked into high gear by Reagan. Your vote is nothing more than giving a corporate puppet power over you.

Edit: sure we stopped overt fascism from winning the executive branch in 2020 but fascism is still churning away!

If I were to have it my way
benevolent dictator because our current system was never designed to represent the people, it is designed to represent the wealthy and business interests. However, no one is arguing for a pure democracy, you’re using standard lame propaganda to maintain the status quo which yields more power to the wealthy and corporations. Allowing for a more democratic approach wouldn’t remove the three branches
 you’re grasping at straws.

That’s just not a truly accurate representation of how the plan works. The founding fathers intended to deny true democracy so that it was easier for the aristocracy to hold power.

In order to realize the potential of the opening statement of the constitution, “We the People of the United States
”, we need to evolve
we need to actualize what “We the People” means and that warrants a true democratic process. The current process is rigged via gerrymandering on the local/state level so why not remove the electoral college since it was designed to favor the wealthy

I believe it was stated as a problem but was blown out of proportion to the reality. Wawa like we’ve seen with Starbucks closing a couple stores is mainly related to over-expansion and self-cannibalism. How profitable fan a business be if you have the same store across the street? Wawa also like Starbucks was surrounded by superior competitors
why go to Starbucks when there are numerous La Colombe and a dozen other coffee shops with their own roasts are nearby?

Inky article on WAWA
