I was thinking that might not be good for the trees, if you don’t tap does the warm spells still harm them?

Yet I lived in NJ ,PA and Maine in small towns and had to look for the keys when I sold my houses as we never used them.except when we went on vacation for weeks. Each area has its on character.

I do worry about forests burning giving the crazy swings that could result in a nasty long drought.

We have one but my so uses it as a decoration piece. It isn't hooked up and currently pouring gas into a generator to keep the electric appliances going. He is an asshole at times about utility stuff. I ran out and got another propane indoor and fuel cause his ge erator is ancient and unreliable.

Learned the 3 energy source rule. Woostove plus attachments, propane and generator ( solar and gas both). That is my current set up. My S O has a huge genny on a trailer that we use in winter that plugs into the whole house. We only use that if it looks to be a long haul. The solar batteries can carry us for a few days. I won't ever depend on utility companies alone.

My pines take a beating with wet snow but boy they look lovely also. Some droop so low they make snow rooms.

Quit griping and get a generator like everyone else. Until all electric is underground in a state filled with trees its gonna happen. Be prepared.

GOP runs the state and they hate it so of course it is poorly run. Kick the damn right wingers out so the state can run better. They do nothing to improve the state, education is getting worse,

It is supposed to raft up and contain the grounds they use this in some old stock recipes to make it clear as well. I just use a percolator for grounds and a French press when solo.

I live in the County and I found food and gas, propane cheaper than PA. I do use farm stands and buy in bulk when I can.

That is crazy money. How deep is it? They usually aren't that deep at all and like they said cheaper to cover it and then make use of it if needed later on.

Yeah the dirt road that accesses my dirt road is listed as a road where it is at best an atv trail and my road is gated but shows on Google as public and open.

The trail head parking was jammed. I will go when the crowds die down. Went years before and saw hardly anyone. What a difference from 20 years ago. There are plenty of other great spots and trails so no problem.

Nothing like Maine, they are more common in fall and spring than cars as it is the locals enjoying the absence of tourists on the road. I live miles down a dirt road and the four wheelers are past my drive everyday but respect my signs blocking my tote roads to vehicles. My dogs run the property as well so they did discourage people from coming up the drive .
