You can shoot 4k 60FPS on any of the lenses dating back to at least the 12 Pro (possibly even the 11 Pro). So if you select the 3x telephoto lens and start recording video at 4k 60fps, it will be true 3x and not a digital zoom of the 1x main lens.

There is also a "Lock Camera" setting under Camera settings that allows you to control automatic switching between lenses during recording.

Watch some comparisons on YouTube like this one from Max Tech:

14 Plus vs 14 Pro Max

Dynamic Island is fine, kinda neat at first, but the novelty wears off. I barely notice it anymore besides the bumping equalizer when I have Apple Music running in the background (which admittedly is still kinda cool). But I don't think I'd miss it all that much. Now if I had Air Pods, there are some helpful notifications there I think I would miss.

So in a nutshell, Dynamic Island isn't enough to justify spending $200 more, but there are other differences worth considering like the butter-smooth 120Hz display that adjusts to a perfect 24 FPS when watching movies (and can even go all the way down to 1 Hz for Always On display). GPU-intensive gaming will also have a big leg up on the 14 Pro. Finally, there's a stark difference in camera performance with the 14 Pro over the Plus.

And don't just reboot. Force close every app you have running, then reboot.

Also in the battery settings, it should show you what processes are sucking the most battery. That should hopefully help you pinpoint the issue. If nothing seems out of the ordinary, it may be a defective battery (which is rare but possible).
