Like “will America have succumbed to fascism in the face of the refugees caused by the (conservatively) roughly one billion people currently expected to be displaced by climate change between now and 2050” or “to what extent will there still be complex society in the face of widespread ecological collapse”

Very difficult questions to answer indeed. I hope our techno overlords figure out how to fix this mess quickly and choose not to keep all of the gains in productivity to themselves like they have since the 1970’s.
