I had this issue a while back. In general it’s not the law it’s just the hospital policy. Might be different (not sure) if you are refusing medical attention.

No possibility of jail time. They just want cash. Like others have said dress and act respectfully. Ask to speak with the prosecutor and work a plea bargain. You’ll get pretty much what lawyers get without the added expense. Take a safe driving course to get the points off. And pays attention to what they teach you to avoid a repeat.

Reply to At what point do you expect surface combatant ships to become obsolete? Is there any paticular key system thay might be the cause of this obsolescence? by BluntBastard
Look to the war in Ukraine. Eyes in the sky make any armored vehicle an easy target for weapons with a longer reach than the vehicle can carry. Expand this and imagine how satellites will make any surface ship an easy target for weapons with a longer reach than the ship can carry. Add in stealthier better armed submarines and it won’t be long (less than a decade) until aircraft carriers are as useful as tall sailing ships.

Yes. Atlantic highlands route 36 to 71 to 35 to Island Beach State Park. Nice spring/fall ride. Takes 3 or 4 times as long in the summer.

If it is not leaking the current owner can remove it relatively cheaply. Then it’s a simple purchase. If the current owner refuses to remove it that’s a giant GIANT red flag. Likely it is leaking. Once it leaks -even a little bit - removal is unbelievably expensive and time consuming.
Do NOT buy this house.

There’s always a way to make a semi-believable storyline. Alien attacks. Solar flares. Sunspots. EMP’s. If Batman can call from the moon to earth and live, any of those can cause worldwide power disruption for those willing to be entertained.

A lawyer will follow the steps above. If you’re not comfortable taking Reddit advice to DIY at court, by all means obtain a lawyer.
Your first appearance is called “arraignment”, you’re not allowed to do anything but plead not guilty. At that time the judge will advise you to get an attorney and ask if you can afford one etc. Better to wait till then to engage an attorney and avoid that one (unnecessary) appearance fee.

You don’t want to tell the court that. Tell the court you have no knowledge of any such tickets. Plead not guilty. Demand they provide “Discovery” (All proof they intend to use in court). If that proof doesn’t provide in-person positive identification of you move to have them dismissed. If the court refuses to dismiss and the prosecutor refuses whatever you feel an appropriate downgrade for a plea agreement may be, then you may need to hire an attorney.

Reply to ‘Deeply concerning’: NJ Mayor reacts to video of GOP election official removing Democratic campaign signs by Fit_Hovercraft3827
L O L. Self-involved politicians have their priorities so screwed up. Both sides see these sIgns as a “show of strength” and believe them important for the election simply because the other side does. In reality how many people are changing their vote because of these signs? Like .001 %? Is that worth the theft charges? Might be important for a third party candidate but Dem Vs Rep? Useless eyesores.

I’m rarely one to sympathize with politicians. But Mayor’s like this are damned if they “allow” visible homelessness and damned if they don’t. They often are simply reacting to the populations demands.
