I, in my mid-60's, thank you "younger people" for trying to change the political landscape. Make it better, please.

Would be nice, but I can't see it happening. Also I'd love to get rid of the paper candidate handouts at the polling places. Hasn't almost everyone voting at that point made up their mind already? Doesn't giving them a card with all of a political party's candidates, or just for one politician, seem to be redundant? And it would be nice if, alternatively, a paper recycle bin is available. I worked at a polling place yesterday and was constantly picking up cards that people dropped, or watched them drop them into the trash bin on their way out.

Being retired, my husband and I don't drive much at all and I don't miss it. But we do have to go out (doctors appointments, cuz we're old, and big grocery trips, etc) so I'm wondering if anyone would recommend a dashboard camera please. I'd honestly have nowhere to start looking because neither of us are very tech-oriented. Thank you for your help!

I would suggest that you ask your realtor for help with this, he/she should be able to give you some direction on what to do. It's not good to have a house unoccupied, in any season. Much luck, and safe travels this weekend!

Did you use a realtor to buy your house here?

So do I understand correctly that you have already bought the house but haven't yet moved into it, but will in the spring?

Unless there is a storm, the power goes out and the heat doesn't kick on 😑
Don't you have a friend or neighbor who could stop by just to walk through every so often and check on things? Give this person a list of what to look for. And, when you are away, keep an eye on the weather and call when there is a snow/ ice storm or another weather event. If you see something concerning, call this person to check in.

We've been there twice and it was a great trip both times (also nearby Shepardstown (sp??)). Wanted something different, though, this time.

My family had a camp very close to there while I was a kid, but we always stayed in the summer... 😑

Right! I've cut ties with a lot of our long-time friends who are 60's-to-early-70's because I just don't understand who the hell they are any more. And it's no use reasoning, once they support the "tRump was the greatest president of my time" and "the 2020 election was absolutely stolen" beliefs, there's no turning back...
