Wait until you find out there's no such thing as a vegan. Do you know how many rodents and larger herbivores get killed protecting crops?

Looks like we both learned something today. I had no idea she had a PhD. I always knew her as Maya Angelou. Never heard the title doctor when people spoke of her.

Someone did that to me the other day. Saw a post and somehow it got back to Jews. And this guy kept saying they. I tried to explain why it's wrong to say they. And he said, I'm not antisemitic, two of my good friends are Jewish.

Because he thinks it's a good thing when children die of abuse.

Yeah, but laws are just words written on pieces of paper and the court went with the, "Fuck you that's why," reasoning.

That's all kinds of really fucked up. And I can't believe we live in a day and age taking safety precautions against a disease is ridiculed. Sure but mental illness may be a mitigating factor at sentencing with less jail/prison time with mandated therapy, but in the legal system being crazy and being found not guilty due to insanity, the latter meaning you don't know right from wrong. So you can kill, skin, and eat 20 people. If you try to hide evidence of your crime for example, you might be bat shit crazy, but you will be found guilty, because hiding evidence means you knew it was wrong.

It's already here man. Covid started with 1 person. And that's all it took to cause a global pandemic. By the time you're sick, 100s of people could had been infected. By the time they're sick, 1000s.

Honestly, we can't do shit to stop the spread if we have global travel. Just one motherfucker slipping thru the cracks or a false negative means it's gonna spread. Covid started with patient zero. No way to contain it. Testing buys just a few weeks of time to prepare. Cats out of the bag and until we find better vaccines, or better treatment that truly is as easy as just pop some pills and you'll be fine, like antibiotics do (not saying use antibiotics obviously, just example), that's how covid "ends." It will be with us forever for try foreseeable future but at some point I do expect it to be something that we aren't afraid of anymore because treatment will stop it in it's tracks.
mces97 t1_j2093y8 wrote
Ah yes, let's consider them. But let's wait a while until some new mutant strains of covid come here. Cause, we just love doing everything ass backwards. On the flip side, any mutants that got out, are out already. By the time we ever seem to take action it's already too late.
Best advise? Limit indoor activities, wear at least a kn95. Get your booster. Protect yourself. Cause no one else gonna.

Interstellar travel is not happening. Not unless we learn to cryogenically freeze humans, and even then, gonna take forever to get anywhere, no data getting back here. Only thing that maybe we'd get is learning how to fold space time so point A and B are in the same point.

A vegan is someone who doesn't eat anything that comes from an animal. They eat a plant, nut, no animal diet. But, pretending that them not eating meat harms no animals is missing a crucial point. Animals do get killed to make sure those crops grow.
