The air we breathe is unhealthy and carcinogenic tbh I think the environmental toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis will kill us long before a few instant noodles will

You realize H Mart sells more than ramen and kimchi? Also ramen is a Japanese food, Korean noodles are called ramyeon

Don’t say anything unless brought into a meeting about it. At that point say “I didn’t mean to, I was unfortunately experiencing a symptom from a medical condition I have and I wasn’t aware anyone could see me. It won’t happen again” and hopefully that’s enough. You can also offer to give an apology to those who saw and take whatever sensitivity training the company wants you to.

Reply to NYC Hospitals Start Moving Sick Babies, Diverting Ambulances as Nurse Strike Looms by drpvn
From a friend of mine who is a nurse when asked if they’re going to strike:
> A bunch of NYP hospitals including mine (Columbia) have voted yes to striking, but that doesn’t mean we will actually strike. But if management doesn’t give us what we’re asking for, then we will strike.
> We’re asking for better pay, better staffing, to keep our health benefits, etc etc
> It’s insane because NYP execs each get millions per year like 10+ million in salary and they’re “penny pinching” nurses. Not giving us enough raises based on inflation
They are preparing to strike but hopefully hospital administrators agree to the terms beforehand so the strike is avoided

Lol that’s like saying “just don’t be poor”, it’s not exactly the easiest thing these days to find a high paying job and more importantly a stable job where you won’t face wage cuts or get laid off if the economy worsens

If wages went up with inflation then you’d be correct but my wages didn’t go up at the same rate as inflation in the past year and I bet most people will say the same

If the scooter is going at bike speeds then I can see an argument for that but every time I see a scooter in the bike lane it’s going at nearly the same speed as the cars.

I meant it more like “their cultural values make them more likely to be nice people and I’ve had positive experiences with them, so I personally think this fits with their culture and isn’t surprising”. Of course there are bad people in every race/country but those aren’t the ones I’m talking about here so why bring them up? Especially in a sub about uplifting news.

Great example and hope it encourages other countries to follow suit. Mexican people I’ve met in the states have truly been some of the kindest and most friendly so not surprised they’re taking these steps to protect their rights in Mexico
