On closer inspection mine has 14 pins and doesn't match anything I see on the website. I emailed them a photo of the connectors but I'm thinking I'm SOL. Thanks for the suggestion, though! We'll soon see if they have new products in the works or just what.

I bought my favorite cargo pants one or two pairs at a time, wherever they were on sale until I had 8 pairs. I rotate them so they don't get frequently worn, or excessive wear to any single pair. They're quite a few years old now. These are Dickies, but there are other long wearing pants from places like Carrhart.

Same with Magellan shirts, you can get both brands at Academy Sports.

I like the Sennheiser GSP 670 Wireless Gaming Headset. Mine is three years old with about 300 hours of gaming on them. Over the ear, boom mike that swivels out of the way, cordless rechargeable, adjustable headband fits big heads like mine, you can game while it recharges via a removable USB cable (this is a rare feature, btw - most others have to shut down to recharge)

Is it durable as in BIFL? Realistically, no. These have had the ear cloth separated from the headset, but it's still quite comfortable without the cloth covers. I'm not particularly hard on headsets, I own four working pairs of various brands and have two more that were broken and got tossed. The Sennheiser so far has been the best of the lot. Are you as hard on headsets as I am?

You can likely demo this or a newer model at a big box store, a la Best Buy etc.

The higher end Sennheiser headphones are built fairly well, their cheapo stuff is well, cheapo.

Spec-ops brand combat suspenders with belt loops at your sides/hip. Durable, mine are 5 years old of daily wear with more years of life in them. Comfortable, you can sit without a suspenders induced snuggy. No damage inducing metal anywhere to ruin your leather car seat. Just enough stretch but not too much in the elastic. Easy to attach and detach with hard synthetic (backpack type) clip fasteners at your sides.

And no, you don't look like G.I. Joe when you're wearing them. In fact, twice I've had guys ask me for details about them in restaurants because they look so comfortable and capable.

I wear these with a 3-ply duty belt that are made to order in your size by Klik-belt ("Cobra" fasteners) that hold up loosely fit comfortable pants well, with plenty of support for weighty attachments (edc) or heavy pocket contents (phone). Made of 3 layers of seat belt type material. No give in the vertical direction at all regardless (like a rigid hoop), very flexible in the horizontal (loosen/tighten) direction.

Leggett & Platt makes sturdy BIFL bed frames ranging from simple to fancy. IMHO the one I've used these past three years is hospital quality and electrically adjustable for knee and back elevation. Not all mattresses are suited for slant adjustable beds. Think natural latex instead of innerspring. Or, In my case, an excellent choice was replacing my latex with Sleep Number's 360 designed to be compatible with adjustable bases.

I'm responding in particular to your "affordable" parameter.

A favorite restaurant of mine uses flatware from Sam's Club that couldn't be more minimalistic and affordable. Each piece is one piece Stainless steel, so no rust, no joints to come loose or gather germs. Google "Member's Mark Stainless Steel Dinner Knife Set (36 ct.)" and similar for spoons / forks. 36 of the knives sell for $13.86 USD.
