Taco Bachi rocks! Nice family. My wife teaches at the school their kids went to/ still go to in Danbury and they have catered a few times before.
He does need to work on his special names though, can’t say a “Wet donkey burrito” sounds very appetizing 😂

Wife and I's combined salaries are ~145k, mortgage + property taxes is about 2k which equates to about 30% of our take home pay after taxes.
We live in the Northwestern tip New Haven county in a 2200 sq foot house on a quiet cul de sac.

Good decision! It is obscene when you realize how much money you are throwing away as a renter.

My wife actually made a cameo appearance in that documentary as a child, she was a frequent attendee of the rowdy section at Trasher’s games with her dad and they made it into a couple shots of archival footage. Was definitely a funny surprise when we were watching it

My wife and I both went to WCSU, graduated in 2016… was a commuter student. Not totally surprised by the problems they are facing now. It’s definitely not a “cool” school to go to but I went there because I could afford it and left school without significant debt and still got a job at the end of it.

That's cool, doesn't change the fact that almost 80% of people drive solo to work in CT, and 4.4% take public tranist. Not saying there aren't people who rely on public transit, heck, 4% of 100,000s of thousands of working people is a lot of people, but my point is that the vast majority of people in this state do not take public transit.
Compare that to a state like NY, where only 53% of people drive to work and almost 30% take some form of public transit, now compare the difference in how transit operates and investments in it between our two states...
If we invest hard in the infrastructure, will more people take it? Probably depends greatly on where you live, where you work, etc, and I would guess many people do not live where they work or in a convenient enough location that public transportation would even make a difference.

Guess I’m rich, who knew?
Not against public transit, it’s just a fact vast majority of people in this state have a car and drive to work. Why would I take a bus for my 45min commute with strangers who will likely annoy me and also have to be on someone else’s schedule when I can just drive myself?
Public transit works when you’re relatively close to your job.

Vast majority of people don’t need or use public transit, so there isn’t really a need to push to be efficient or useful.

That is very odd. You’d think they’d realize people get it, we see political ads every second of every day. We get it, it’s Election Day soon and I’m going to vote. I doubt Pestering people who are on the fence is really going to sway someone to go, especially with “I know where you live” type messages.
