Nah. When climbing, the closer you keep your body to the wall the more of your weight is on your feet. If your legs are curled up like this, it should only be too steep up to the next hold. Hanging on like this only drains stamina and you wouldn't turn around in this position because you'd most likely fall.

Simular issue with the person in the back middle, frogging their way up. A little hip movement would do them wonders.
