So you view all addictions as having the same level of seriousness? Such as heroin or cocaine?

Yes. Some are addicted to sex/porn/etc. , others substances, and some like to eat couches. All can be detrimental to the individual and others around them, and therein lies the issue. In my opinion, if it doesn't affect anyone negatively, it's no one's business except for the person partaking.
