Happened to me. Fell in love the second I met my wife. We decided to have a date that night, and here we are 17 years later.

For a car, puppy, house, or necklace? Understandable.

In a romantic sense for a person? Shallow to call it love, as romantic love is something that should come from actually getting to know them. Attraction at first sight makes more sense.

It's not. It is infatuation and lust.You know nothing about who they are as a person and their flaws,values,idiosyncrasies and what makes them who they are. It's purely a visual thing and a sort of idealized version of them in your head off first glance. You can have a crush and be attracted incredibly quickly,but not love.

It’s a great example of why temporary restraining orders are given with very little evidence and 30 days is a responsible amount of time for first requests.

There is always something I think of when this question is asked.
When I was in 7th grade it was the first day of school, we had indoor recess and we were getting called to move back up to the bleachers if you were out playing on the gym floor, which I was already sitting in the bleachers with my friends and someone caught my eye.
We'll call him C. C was walking up the stairs on the bleachers and we made eye contact and time felt slow. It felt like the world stoped turning and the people who control fate stoped and said "hey, this is your man". And then time went fast again and i could feel my face being red and hot and i looked back up at him and made eye contact again and time slowed again. I ended up dating him for off and on a total of a year or so. he tramatised the hell out of me and dated my friend and then cheated on her with me and i even told her and she doesn't belive me
