Yes, this. And anything with anodized aluminum, especially if you use the extra strength detergent pods. Learned the hard way.

Yeah, anodized aluminum gets that white crust on it from dishwashers. I could always tell how someone ruined their pan when they were returning it to the kitchen store I worked at.

Weird, I've been putting anodized aluminum (Circulon) pans in the dishwasher for 15 years with no Ill effects. The pans are still in great condition
