I’m getting tired of buying new dishes. The ones we have now are stoneware and the glaze chips off. Of course, the pieces are not easily replaced. Every time I have bought dishes it ends with me giving away a half set of dishes to Goodwill because I can’t keep the dish count up. They break and I can’t get replacements.
What dishes can I buy that are durable enough to last decades and will still be readily available if pieces get broken or lost?
I don’t need fancy patterns; just plain white dishes suitable for entertaining are fine. I don’t want thin cheap feeling stuff like you might get at WalMart or similar.
Edit: any time this is asked, Corelle comes up, but it feels cheap to me and not suitable for the type of entertaining we do.
Thanks
