Second this. I have a Timbuk2 custom Prospect backpack made with waxed canvas, also about 6 years old, and it has held up quite well over time as a laptop/commuter/travel bag.

Thirded. I ordered a custom pack from Timbuk2 a few years ago that I bring to and from work and I take literally all the items you mentioned with me. It's a great choice.
