Is there a compound that will repair a scratch in some nice sunglasses?

I used car buffing compound then finished it off with polish.

Why it was the exterior of the lense. Clean with alcohol afterwards. How do you think an eyeglass store buffs and polish's out scratches?

Step zero for you should be to price out new lenses. New lenses are quick and easy. Otherwise, you can get https://www.amazon.com/Sandpaper-Assorted-Automotive-Sanding-V-story/dp/B074TV7LKH/ and start at 1200 and work your way to 3000.
