Waterproof? What type of material?
Looks like wool to me
My dad has one. It’s about 1cm of rubber under the canvas. It is very very heavy.
Waterproof, not bulletproof, ain't no centimeter of rubber in a jacket.
It's apparently felt, boiled in a specific way to keep water out, it's heavy and you should make sure to wear something under it because it's like a tiny cactus, prickly.
It might be this: (no English wiki page though) https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loden
Felted wool is darn near waterproof. It's a treatment done to 'brush' wool so the fibres kind of interlock and create a mat across the entire surface.
Love ya
I'll let you know Tomorrow!
You gonna go swimming with it?
It would be a boiled wool, google says its called frieze in english but im not sure, we call it vadmal in swedish. Its a heavy wool weave that has been boiled to be very sturdy and water resistant
