Leggett & Platt makes sturdy BIFL bed frames ranging from simple to fancy. IMHO the one I've used these past three years is hospital quality and electrically adjustable for knee and back elevation. Not all mattresses are suited for slant adjustable beds. Think natural latex instead of innerspring. Or, In my case, an excellent choice was replacing my latex with Sleep Number's 360 designed to be compatible with adjustable bases.

I really love the brand Silk & Snow. We bought their organic mattress almost two years ago and it’s incredible. We plan to get a new bed frame from them as well. Really good Canadian brand

I recommend a Japanese style frame like the ones sold at Tatamiroom.com. They fit together without screws, meaning you can take apart and put back together indefinitely. However, they’re a little pricey and lower to the ground - I enjoy the style, but I know it’s not for everyone. I’m really enjoying mine, though I did not go with their headboard due to the configuration of my bedroom, so I can’t vouch for it.

My partner is a mover, so he’s SUPER experienced with this area of furniture, so I’ll ask him tomorrow when he’s over. If I don’t get back, shoot me a message or reply to jog my memory! I have a lot of kids and a busy house so I’m not always on top of scrolling Reddit and forget a LOT! 😂 I DO know the general rule of thumb for movers, avoid IKEA. I twisted my partners arm into buying an IKEA bed frame and he was the laughing stock of his company for weeks! The companies he’s worked for that were on truly legitimate, offered insurance for customers belongings being moved, but every one of them has contained a waiver/exception for IKEA furniture because a large chunk of what they sell is cheap MDF/particleboard that breaks far too easily. I bought a metal frame and don’t regret it, it’s exactly what you’re looking for, except they discontinued it like two years ago.
