I'm going to Melbourne again (12 years later) with more time and money. I already plan to buy a pair of Redbacks, what else should I bring back from Oz?

What do you mean "get"? "Upgrade", maybe.
Dri as a bone coat.
That's the "original" duster coat?
Yep waxed cotton cattleman’s coats; the brand is driza-bone.
RM Williams boots. They’re expensive but I’ve had a few pairs that have lasted a decade plus, including ones I actually used for riding horses, so exposed to sweat, mud, salt, fire pits, blazing hot and freezing days, rain, snow, etc.
Akubra hats.
Bellroy leather goods.
Solidteknics steel kitchenware.
I've had an Akubra. Switched back to Stetson.
While not buy for life, hair and skin care products you gotta get Moo Goo and Thursday Plantation Tea Tree soap!
Ok, I know this will sound like a joke, but my most treasured it from Australia is a really nice didgeridoo. I'm not a particularly capable didge player, but every time I see it I think fondly of Australia and the traditional culture there.

yep , about five iconic things still made in OZ and that’s about it.
A jar of Vegemite will probably last you for life. Even a small one.
What do you want? It's all very well me saying a RotoVelo but if you don't have any use for a velomobile that's not a helpful suggestion. They are BIFL, even more so if you never use them...
Mongrel boots are awesome, but if you don't want work boots same deal... they're an expensive, not very decorative use for a second hand kangaroo.
There's Australian made burglar alarms. They're BIFL in a different way, but do seem to last forever. Friend has one that's 20 years old and still in use. Do you want a burglar alarm?
On "the other BIFL" side, Randall Organic Rice make crackers and stuff that are very good. If you're really keen you could buy the whole farm!
Their aboriginal culture was treated much the same as canada. The damage can still be seen on both sides of the world

From a Canadian : Solidtekniks Aus ion skillet
I've still got my original jar of Vegemite from '07. The Mongrels might get added to the Redbacks I already plan to buy.
Akubra hat
How do they compare to other high end brands? I have one and love it but they are very expensive!
Warren & Brown (deflecting beam) Torque Wrench
Made in Aus, very few parts to wear out or go out of spec + can be recalibrated if necessary. Very simple design.
Can't name a specific brand but Australia has the best Merino wool. It's not as soft as something like cashmere but it's super durable, breathable and we make a ton of it.
I've had an Akubra, I wrecked it in 18 or so months at work, went back to Stetson. The beaver felt seems to hold up better to moisture than the rabbit felt. Not shitting on the brand, there is just something better for my situation.

Get a mullet haircut and a 1980s rock band tee shirt with the sleeves cut off.
Bogan it for life.
