You might be the first person I’ve seen here say something non-positive about Saddleback. This place typically won’t stop talking about them.

I have a saddleback wallet and I’m unimpressed. It will last for many years, I think, but the finish is shoddy.

I fell for all the Saddle back hype back in the day. I bought like 5 of their bags. Ask me how many I use? Zero. Not one. They are heavy, awkward, and horrid to open and close. Gimme a zipper. I use my WP Standard zippered duffel and a Banana Republic bag from the 1990’s I found in a Salvation Army. Still kicking and it’s gorgeous.
