Hi! Just found out I’m pregnant (yay!) but am a student and don’t have a good ob in the area.
Would really appreciate any recommendations!

Congratulations! My wife and some of our friends all went to Mt Auburn. We had an amazing experience.
Midwives at Mt. Auburn are great: https://www.mountauburnhospital.org/care-treatment/womens-health/midwifery/ (they delivered our baby)
Sarah Ellison (at the Davis location of Atrius) and Jessica Ahlemeyer (at the Atrius near the Cambridge library) are both great. I think if you go with an NP/MD with Atrius (like Sarah Ellison), you'd probably deliver at BI, vs if you went with a midwife (like Jessica Ahlemeyer) you'd probably deliver at Mt Auburn.
The Cambridge Birthing Center is awesome. Two of my kids were born there. The midwives are fantastic and you have access to the hospital if you need it. The facility is an old Victorian home and the rooms are like a bed and breakfast. At least one of the rooms has a large tub you can give birth in. It was a way better experience than we had at a regular hospital.
I've had good experiences with my OB and delivery at Mt Auburn.
My wife and everyone we know who worked with her had incredible care and support from Dr. Beth Hardiman. Her practice is located Mt. Auburn hospital and she delivers 95%+ of her patients. Her whole team is great (love nurse Josephina!).
Dr Huang at Mt Auburn is the best doctor I've ever encountered. u/pajamaset can tell you more, I'm sure.
Yes, as u/syst3x said, Dr. Huang is the way. After our first was born prematurely, we would not have had a second go without him. No one makes me feel safer, more respected, or more included in my care. He is a clear communicator, never rushes you, he explains every choice before you and is completely transparent.
After our experience with infertility, when our ivf discharge nurse recommended him, we decided to take the rec and I have never in my life been so grateful that I did.

Dr Zooey McKee at My Auburn is wonderful and compassionate
My wife just delivered at Mt. Auburn. We used the midwives at Atrius / Harvard Vanguard of Cambridge (the practice on Cambridge St) and worked with Lucia Ma throughout her pregnancy, and she was fantastic.
The nurses, midwives, and OB staff who were working during Leah’s labor & delivery were fantastic. She ended up needing to go to a c-section at the last minute (not quite emergency, but very close) and the OB on duty, Dr. Antonellis, was fantastic & provided kind & excellent care when we had to switch to surgery.

Check out this website https://community.whattoexpect.com/forums/boston-parents.html —- it has so many more reviews than Reddit and should be really helpful to you in making your decision. At a glance, MGH, BWH, and Mt Auburn appear to be popular and have good reviews, but you can search for any hospital in the area.
