Good News Garage (shop of the car talk guys) has been good to me; they replaced the clutch on my 2011 subaru imprezza when it melted and I haven't had issues with the replacement they dropped in.

I like them too. They constantly surprise me at how often they recommend delaying work for our old car.

CLM auto body in Cambridge is great! If they don’t for some reason do clutches, I’d imagine they could recommend another place. 617-497-6722

Always CLM. As a woman, I have never felt like they’re doing anything but their best work at a fair price, and that’s pretty much the best thing ever

Car Zone is great. I know nothing about cars and they're pretty honest.

Tony at Fresh Pond Gas. Plus he typically charges you an hourly rate rather than the “book rate”

You could go to the Good News Garage and do that whole MIT thing, or you could take a drive out to Waltham and go to Long Life Auto and do that whole Harvard thing.
