Mad Hatter does seem to be a little pricy, but I'm ok with that as long as the quality of their work is good. They quoted $780 for an oil change, tranny and coolant flush, AC cleaning to remove a musty odor, and new engine and cabbin air filters. Vehicle is a Chevy Equinox. Edit: That price did not include an oil change.

I'd like to know what an "A/C cleaning" entails. Spraying some cleaner down your vents and replacing your cabin filter should take care of any musty smell. I could be wrong, but I'd definitely question it.

I told them there is sometimes a musty smell when you first turn it on, and that was their suggestion. I’m also curious so can certainly ask.
