Would anybody have any recommendations for a good and not crazy expensive Furnace or Heat Pump installer that’s willing to service Hartford? I’ve called at least 30 companies and I’m told they either don’t work on Furnaces, they aren’t taking on new clients, or specifically don’t service Hartford.

Not trying to be a dick, but you're an "investor and property manager" and can't find an HVAC company willing to work with you?

My commercial HVAC guy would have the Seal Team 6 of installers at my house in an hour if I called in a favor, and I'm not anywhere close to their biggest customer, nor am I working on the scale you are.

Don't wanna make assumptions but something smells off.

Check out Warmth for less in Manchester.. they specialize in kerosene/diesel heaters, they are fairly efficient. I have one in my garage and just fill it up every couple of days and it keeps it a constant 50-54 degrees in its lowest setting. That said I can be turned up and really crank out the heat. They are awesome little heaters though and the company is a pretty good one.

It seems that no smaller company wants to do business in Hartford, because it’s a “bad town,” and any larger company won’t work on just a single residential furnace. I had a plumber I used for years for literally thousands of properties, but he’s no longer available.

I know an HVAC tech who got knocked out in Hartford and tools stolen while on the job. Unfortunately incidents like that weight on the reputation of the area. You should still be able to find someone though

That’s the worse possible installer. They are only in business because of first time home buyers who don’t know any better. Aiello will be 400% more expensive I guarantee it. Ask around. Your neighbors will know

I used them once for a hot water heater repair. Like $900 part. A year later the same thing happened - same blinking light sequence on the sensor. I call a different company and he showed me how to hit the burner with compressed air to clean it off. Was not even related to the part that was replaced.

I’ve had my AC replaced by degree heating and cooling. They did the job right (at least so I haven’t had to call them in 7 years) and did not overcharge.

Lemme ask you this - how does every other homeowner in Hartford get HVAC work/service done? Or any other trade, for that matter?

I hope for your sake that this isn't a case of you burning enough HVAC contractors that word got around. It's a small industry, everyone talks to everyone else, and they tend to have long memories.
