I am single 28F and am wanting to move out of Manhattan to somewhere in CT. I still love the city and want to be close to it but want more of a suburb feel with it being slightly less expensive. I’m familiar with all the rent prices in CT and it’s all extremely doable considering what I already pay in the city. I am just a little scared that there isn’t much to do/not a lot of people my age. Can someone tell me a little bit more about some areas that may be good for someone my age and if you like living in CT?

Welcome. By the looks of your post, you already know our state motto.

Or at the the motto from my area.

Edit: During the pandemic they should have put it on our license plates.

It really depends how close you want to be to the city. If you want to live cheaply and still have a cool vibe I recommend west Hartford, but it’s a little far from the city. If you want to be closer try Stamford and surrounding.

I was looking at Stamford. Pricing isn’t really my issue. I’m just worried that Stamford/old Greenwich will be too “sleepy” for me. I’m just hesitant to move and not have many opportunities to meet people.
