I apologize if this post is repetitive, however I can’t find answers through google. My eversource bill this month for a 1 bedroom, one bath 775 sq foot apt is $340. Is this accurate? Am I possibly paying for more than just my unit?

Hey OP, I think that's pretty high... I am in a 1BR apt with your same sqft, and my bills for the past three months have not been over $23 each month. It must be your heat.

I do live alone, have GAS heat, and am very aware of turning off lights/appliances, though. (I also don't have a dishwasher or laundry connected to my unit, so I'm sure that factors in.)

I have a 1 bedroom apt 500 SQ ft, electric heat and my bill was $158 so I could see $340 happening

Anyone still buying electric from Eversource needs to know that they can save a ton of money by switching providers, it’s easy and free to change….just heck out the rates and make your own choice.

Only put it on in rooms you are occupying, don’t leave it on all day unless the temperature is really really cold .

Unplug appliances they draw electricity as well

If you have your own washer / dryer do laundry at night

I live in an old building everything is electric it sucks wish I never moved here . Summer it’s the AC , winter it’s the heat there’s maybe a month or two that my bill isn’t insane and I have UI

Yes, the delivery portion of the bill comes from Eversource but if you use 1000kWh and you are paying a supplier 14.8C/kWh instead of 28c/kWh the savings on the actual ‘electricity used’ part are clear

Don’t look at the price but at your electric usage for an accurate comparison as electric rates just increased for most. As others have said electric heat can easily be responsible.

2500 Sq ft house. I paid $140 last month. $65 in service, $75 in delivery. My supplier is Constellation . I switched to them in December when my Direct Energy contract expired.
