It's just an aid for all customers and it is printed there by the restaurant's Point of Sale system software. The world doesn't revolve around you.
You can’t do math.
Well, now we all think that.
Lol and bro didn't even drink
bro got water 💀
No one but you would calculate that on a $60 tab..
What's the diff, 36 cents? Lol
20% of $65 is $13. They’re suggesting $82.77. So clearly not just 36 cents.
Because it’s added to the final number with tax, they just clarified that it was calculated pre tax. Math is sound
25%!? JFC
For those who missed the point of the post, as stated on receipt tip calculation doesn’t include tax. 20% of $65 is $13. So total would be 65+13 = 78. But its $82.77 on the receipt 🤷♂️
Right. Then add $4.77 tax and voila. Your total.
Calamari is incredibly overrated as an appetizer

What's the beef? They're letting the customer know that they aren't including the tax in their calculation.
