Mine had middle support so that helped. Mine was 38381/4" and was just flexible enough to fit into the lip on the table.

It didn't warp or bend or anything

i have a middle support too, but ah that’s interesting i dont have a lip, it would just sit on top. i think that should be fine though

It will be more flexible than glass. I would go thicker if possible.
